Parslow spoke on how recent announcements on power costs have raised public awareness of self-generated renewable energy, and outlined how investing in small wind today is a hedge against electricity prices tomorrow.

Kevin Parslow, CEO of Evance Wind Turbines presented at the Envirotech & Clean Energy Investor Summit in London.

The summit is Europe’s largest investor event for clean technology, renewable energy and sustainability sectors. The event addresses the growth and financing challenges faced by emerging environmental and clean technology companies, and the strategic issues occupying the leading energy companies.

Parslow spoke on how recent announcements on power costs have raised public awareness of self-generated renewable energy, and outlined how investing in small wind today is a hedge against electricity prices tomorrow.

On the reliability of small turbines, he stated, “Evance has in excess of 1,500 turbines installed - so millions of hours of generation. We are always honest about proposed sites and their potential generation, as we will never install a turbine where the wind speed is not sufficient to ensure a great investment.”

In September 2012 Evance was listed for the first time in the prestigious Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 ranking Britain’s top 100 private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years. Evance, ranked 14th in the UK, had impressive annual sales growth of 144 percent over the period and is the highest placed UK manufacturer listed in the Tech Track 100

Gas, oil and coal are limited resources, whilst the use of wind power constitutes an alternative. Do you believe that the share of wind power in the energy mix is already sufficient?
