asola Technologies signs additional BiPV orders

First solar carport project sold directly from drawing board to Shanghai city for “Smart Green Community Project”.

Erfurt located solar system supplier asola signs additional orders in the BiPV segment. Until mid of April asola will deliver special double glass modules for a swimming hall glazing to a Swiss client. “The solar elements have to fulfill high specifications with regard to steam and condensation water. Especially the connection technology had to be redeveloped, which convinced the Swiss architecture office, assigned with this project” said Patrick Kilper, managing director sales at asola.

Further the company announced that the at the Erfurt premises new developed and designed modular carport system has accepted a bid from Shanghai City, directly from the drawing board.

Aside from solar modules asola also delivers the respective construction parts and the grid inverter – assembled with STGCON capacitors – and is completed with a charging station for electric vehicles from its sister company TellusPower Inc.. asola Technologies has been offered the option to deliver a further considerable quantity of solar carport systems. For the German and the European market the carport system will be available as of May 2014.

“The advancement of asola from a solely module production to a system supplier is a direct hit and confirms the group’s business model” says Helmut Teschner, CEO of asola Technologies GmbH.

asola Technologies, STGCON and the American TellusPower are bond in the TUSAI Holding, which results in a wide-ranging portfolio that extends from capacitors, battery-storage systems, super capacitors to charging stations and solar technology. At this level there will be a dynamic technology exchange. In this network asola directed the focus on solar technology for automotive applications and residential building equipment - worldwide.
