Leading provider of EV charging solutions contributes to infrastructure development.

SINGAPORE

Greenlots, Asia’s leading provider of charging solutions for electric vehicles (EVs), today announced the successful delivery of an initial network of 15 charging stations for EVs, for a major utility in Hong Kong. As part of a competitive tender, Greenlots was awarded a contract to install an initial test network, which in turn allows the utility to prepare for the larger roll-out of electric vehicles in Hong Kong as well as regionally in Asia Pacific.

Commenting on this achievement, Oliver Risse, Managing Director, Greenlots, said, “The Hong Kong government’s push towards a goal of 30% hybrid and electric vehicle penetration by 2020 is definitely a huge step, which speaks volumes about its willingness to support green transport options and the overall market potential. We are very excited about the opportunity in Hong Kong for our convenient and affordable charging solutions and are committed to playing a prominent role in the infrastructure development to promote the usage of EVs.”

Greenlots has delivered a network which offers one of the world’s most advanced platforms for the charging of electric vehicles. The company’s hardware is designed to meet all major global safety standards and offers significant customisation ability. The Greenlots Sky software platform enables convenient access to both consumers and network operators and includes billing, reporting, time-of-use pricing, maps, advertising and smart phone functionality among other modules.

Established in 2008, Greenlots is Asia’s largest provider of charging solutions for electric vehicles with installations in Australia, China, Thailand and Singapore. Globally, the company has installations in 10 countries, in Asia and Europe and is currently expanding to North America. In the region, Greenlots is currently working on a major test-bed project with the Singapore government’s EV Task Force. Greenlots is also collaborating with other utilities, infrastructure and automotive groups in the region to further the adoption of electric vehicles.
